Born Henry Winston Peckinshaw III in the village of Strousburg, Manitoba, Drew Edwards officially changed his name after he was enthralled by his drawings at the tender age of four.  Constantly telling his mother, "Mom, look what I drew", the family nicknamed him 'Drew" and the name stuck.  Emerging from public school with an IQ of 210, Drew quickly realized his drawing skills would have to take a back burner to his super-intelligence.  Spending four years at the prestigious Hawkenbury School For Apllied Sciences, Drew reverted back to drawing and art after his fourth year thesis on the Evaporative Qualities of Lentils was deemed a failure.
Drew decided to travel Micronesia in an attempt to finnd the lost art of coral mosaics, but his travels ended abruptly when his lower legs were badly injured in an active lava flow.  He retreated to the sanctuary of his home town where he explored 16th century medicine and played the pan flute.  Two years later in 1987, Drew Edwards took up with a travelling gypsy who called herself "Madge" and fell in love.  The two set up a lean-to in Ottawa from which Drew honed his art skills and managed to rise to the top of the city's competitive art scene.
His works are currently displayed in private and public galleries across the country with widespread enthusiasm.
